The Refiner's fire is pure and can be life-changing, if we let it! Refined, reborn. Love it.

Thaissa, reading your writing always feels like floating on a cloud. You have such a unique and transcendent way with words -- I'm completely blown away by this piece. The conceptualization of what it means to be "winning" especially resonated with me (as I'm noticing it did for so many others).

Being a recovering perfectionist myself, when you said: "For some reason, it comforts my recovering perfectionist spirit to articulate how I am a blend of observations, dreams, and rebellions, constantly refining yet not always in perfect harmony," it felt like a soothing voice simmering down my own inner-critic. Thank you so much for sharing this.

I’m thrilled to hear that my piece resonated with you, especially the exploration of what it means to be 'winning' and the comfort it brought to your journey as a recovering perfectionist. It’s moments like these that remind me of the power of words to connect and uplift. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and for allowing my words to accompany you on your own path of self-discovery and healing. Wishing you continued strength and peace on your journey. ✨️

"Winning is nothing more than the improvement of resilience. For me, it simply means having time, cultivating hope, trusting patience, and practicing love." YES YES YES.

I've had a "winning" few years over here via professional successes. And yet those around me, and to an unfortunate extend myself, immediately push for more. As if "winning" is not enough. That one success must then be overshadowed by another. And that's an exhausting and demoralizing way to exist in this world. I'm thinking of how the money that I've made writing seems inconsequential compared to my actual job and yet the writing fills up and tends to an essential part of myself. And I'm also hearing Elena say (as she did once on a subscribers call) that being in a small, intimate environment serves her more than large, loud and conventionally successfully places did/do.

You've got me thinking...thank you.

-- Yes, Carol, I fully comprehend your points here, and they are quite reasonable. I must confess, though, that when I was writing this essay, what I was reflecting on was all of life’s endeavors that, like you said, have mostly inherent significance — like planting a garden that doesn’t flourish for some reason, despite all the time, effort, and love you put into it. There’s winning in every place, even when it’s hard to perceive it. I am so thankful that my words resonate with you. Your presence brings me joy, my friend. Have a nice afternoon, since I think you are 1-2 hours behind me. Xo.

Thaissa, you may be the most precise writer I’ve ever read. I have to go through each piece of yours a few times, and it would take a novelette to comment on each word or thought which caresses my soul. You are a treasure.

“It’s amazing how even the most ordinary words can hold such depth when carefully honed” —Swoosh!

Oh, to walk in your garden! I can only imagine the care with which you hold the spade, how gracefully you prune, and, when you stand up to stretch from your quiet labor— basking, and reaching for the sun?How indiscernible you must be among the colors and smells. How vibrant you must be, embracing the everlasting dance of flowers and nature. How gratefully you must feel the breeze brushing your face!

Your words fill me with gratitude, as well as direction✨

i just love this: "The wild beauty lies not in the recollection of events but in the unraveling of meaning, thread by thread. The inner voice, a storyteller of the soul, reproduces a vivid mural where every hue is a sentiment, and every stroke is a rediscovered facet of identity." your thoughts' strivings (aided by fully tealized "potentialities" of words) are like the unseen breath exhaling from a lush garden xo

I love studying my surroundings for patterns and such and I really do that in my own huge garden every summer and fall. It's funny that it gets so overgrown by the end of summer and then I walk in my home and it feels the same way.

I also love looking at words and how they appear on a page, how they come out of my fingers onto the screen or paper, how they affect me after I have written them and others who might chance on reading them.

Everything is interesting...and your words here is included!
