“Deciding to heed the echoes within me is akin to opening a door to my inner sanctum. It requires a willingness to delve into the occasionally murky waters of my sentiments, reevaluate the memories of past experiences, and cherish the vulnerabilities”

This is the heart of so much...and certainly why I started writing. Those dark recesses of my mind needed a voice. Thank you!!

Beautiful words, Thaissa.

I especially liked this part:

“Art, in its myriad forms, possesses the ability to function as a crystal lens, reflecting the nuances of our identities. Yet, the mirror is an elaborate entity, capable of both empowering and challenging us. It reproduces our triumphs, reminding us of resilience, but then again shies little away from confronting us with our imperfections.” — such a poignant point about the power of art.

-- Michael, I wholeheartedly agree. Whether through strokes on a canvas, notes in a melody, or words on a page, art has a profound way of touching the soul, leaving an indelible mark that lingers in our thoughts and emotions. It’s in these moments of profound connection that the true poignancy of art reveals itself, stirring something deep within us and fostering a shared understanding of the beauty and complexity of the human journey. Thank you for being here. ❤️‍🔥 xo.

That luminous thread you so eloquently wrote about pulls on every aspect of our being. One thing that resonates for me, although I’m not sure if it’s how you meant it, is that our protective layer that balances our reluctance to embrace moments that can elevate us may also keep us from that very same elevation.

I have found this to be true, it’s something I must safeguard (and work on).

When I look in the mirrors of my soul am I able to stand fully in the light? I’m not sure.

Wishing your Mom a speedy recovery from her surgery. It’s lovely you were able to write while you sat with her❤️

-- Thank you for sharing such profound reflections on the luminous thread woven through the essence of the essay, Donna. Your insight into the delicate balance of our protective layers and their potential to impede our elevation resonates deeply. It’s a poignant realization that embracing transformative moments requires a conscious effort to dismantle these barriers.

The metaphorical mirrors you mention, reflecting the depths of our souls, pose a question many grapple with – the ability to stand fully in the light. Your vulnerability in acknowledging uncertainty adds a layer of authenticity to the introspective journey.

I appreciate your kind wishes for my mother’s recovery; it means a lot. Writing during those moments allowed for a unique connection between the personal and creative realms. As always, your presence here brings light into my corner. ❤️‍🔥 xo.

What a beautiful, magical, ethereal piece. I love the idea of delicate armor that protects us from harm but also sometimes from fully engaging with the moment, with who we could be, and keeping us in a safe equilibrium. I also love the imagery you evoke, facing ones self, scars and all, and accepting it all. Thank you.

-- Thank you sincerely for your profound response, dear Arty. Your appreciation for the concept of delicate armor resonates deeply. It’s true, this protective layer can become a double-edged sword, sheltering us from harm while occasionally hindering our full engagement with the transformative potential of each moment. The way I see it, a keen insight into the imagery of facing oneself, embracing scars, and accepting the entirety of one’s being reflects a deep understanding. I’m grateful for your thoughtful reflection and connection to the essence of the essay. ❤️‍🔥 xo.

It’s a profound pilgrimage, marked not only by the destinations I reach but by the transformative landscapes I explore along the way." Such a beautiful way to articulate that the journey is the destination. Once again your language fills me with lightness. I hope everything is okay with your mother. Sending love.
