I’m going to be thinking of the words ‘synchronic cabinet of time’ often.

-- Oh, Priya, thank you for your attentiveness! While going through some docs, I stumbled upon this draft of a very special letter I sent a while ago. Seeing it again, I felt embraced by my former self, as if I were reopening that cabinet where emotions flow so easily. Time is such a mysterious, magical thing, don’t you think? Your presence is humbling and warms my heart. Xo.

As vezes eu penso, o que eu to fazendo aqui?

Xo.

Thaissa, I so appreciate your thoughts, always! I’m happy you highlighted comparison…it’s so hard not to fall into that trap. It’s human nature but it’s a trap nonetheless. I have read beautiful pieces on this platform and thought “well that’s it. I should pack up and leave.” But that’s not the point. I’m not trying to be anyone else. I’m trying to be wholly me and honest and vulnerable. Which is all I can do anyway.

Thank you thank you thank you 😊

I like this idea that we can only perceive what is already within us. Nothing new per se; just getting to know ourselves better. I, like you, do appreciate the role that writing can play in revealing this inner being.

Writing indeed serves as a profound tool in this exploration, allowing us to articulate and explore the depths of our being. Thank you for sharing your perspective, Patrick. Xo.

-- Your insight is truly remarkable. It’s a beautiful realization that the trials we encounter are often the very stepping stones to our own liberation. Embracing these challenges as opportunities for growth and learning is a testament to wisdom and inner strength. Indeed, each hurdle that stirs our ego serves as a valuable lesson, offering us the choice to either refine ourselves or let go of what no longer serves us. Thank you for sharing your journey of enlightenment with such grace and humility. You inspire me. Xo.

Too many voices today telling us otherwise. Whenever I marvel at the beauty of a well-written work, either a poem, your post today, or reading a novel. I always think to myself, is writing only about sitting your ash down, and putting ideas on paper for public scrutiny, or it is part of who we are?

Think of what Charles Bukowski said, "The free soul is rare, but you know it when you see it - basically because you feel good, very good, when you are near or with them."

Your writing and many others serve a big role here on Substack the same as it is making an impact on that single soul that will resonate with your writing. I found my bliss in the words I share every day on Social media whether is a post, a picture, or an article. Keep spreading the love.

-- Thank you for your thoughtful words, Marcus. Writing is indeed a multifaceted expression of our inner selves, encompassing both the act of putting thoughts onto paper and the deeper connection it fosters within us and with others. Like Bukowski observed, encountering a free soul, whether through writing or in person, can evoke a profound sense of joy and resonance. Your commitment to sharing your words and experiences on social media is a testament to the power of writing to spread love and connect us in meaningful ways. Xo.

Writing as "ascending staircases of thought" - I love this concept, as writing truly does take us on a path that requires climbing, and we can't really direct where it goes, only try to follow it. Sometimes the staircase leads up, sometimes down, sometimes spirals.

"Life unfolds when we resist the impulse to rush our maturity too hastily. "

i'd add to that reading your expressive newsletter is akin to peeling away the softened petals of an artichoke (that "fighter" plant subdued...) and as the heart is the exposed center and approached one can dip each leaf into a buttery lemon tinged sauce and scrape each of its meat and the taste lingers sometimes obscurely sometimes so much more present in its savouring in its "keen" sensual pleasure
