Thank you for this—it’s such a comfort to know that my thoughts can echo through others. May we both continue to find the words we need as we move forward. Xo
I love the idea of standing between what has been and what is to come - simply allowing it to be and to hold space for it (also the image you chose is perfect for this!).
When I am perched in that space what I know for sure is that I don't want more of the same! I don't want my days to seamlessly drift in a haze of tasks that need doing, some of them urgently, at the expense of nurture and ritual. This is what I am figuring out❤️
Thank you for sharing this, Donna—it resonates so deeply. Standing in that liminal space truly invites reflection and honesty, doesn’t it? Your words remind me of the quiet strength it takes to recognize what no longer serves us and to seek something more intentional, more aligned with who we are becoming.
Slowing down and making space for rituals isn’t always easy, but when we do, it feels like we’re reclaiming an essential part of ourselves. I hope the year ahead offers us the clarity and courage to fill our days with moments that ground and inspire. Xo
the winding unpredictable path towards "illumination" is something you have always negotiated here with such nimble bold steps.(Portuguese translation?)
i wish for you (and all) a new year which allows and compels to deepen those connections which give us joy and strength and a tender caring guiding light like your own 💫
Your words move me, Appleton. The winding road to ‘illumination’ is filled with both challenges and quiet triumphs, and it’s those small steps we take that matter most. I’m grateful to walk this path with people who inspire light and warmth—just like you do. Wishing you a year of deep connections, joy, and all the blessings your heart can hold. Xo
I've been reflecting today too and realized that this was actually a good year. The good times overshadowed the bad ones for me. I definitely feel lucky.
I’ve always felt that deep imagery has a special place in my writing. And as I’ve been playing around with fiction lately, I’m really seeing its power! Xo
Such a beautiful and timely reflection. Thank you for always offering the words I need to hear. 🤍

Happy New Year, Thaissa! You described this time period so well. I think of it as a time to pause and reset some things.
Thank you! It truly feels like a time for resetting—a chance to refocus and move ahead with purpose. Xo
I love the way you describe the threshold space between one year and the next. Beautiful.
